Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, who is in London to start the build-up to the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, came face to face with Salman Khan who was put up at the same hotel.
Salman invited Sania and her family for a private screening of London Dreams, which was held at a West End hotel last evening. Salman’s brother, Sohail, and his close family and friends also attended the showing and gave the film a thumbs up.
Sania Mirza got engaged to her childhood friend Mohammed Sohrab Mirza yesterday. Two days before tennis star Sania Mirza’s engagement, a youth who claims to be in love with her was arrested Wednesday for allegedly creating nuisance at her residence.
Police said Mohammed Ashraf, 28, late Tuesday created a scene at the player’s residence claiming that he is in love with Sania.
The civil engineering student from Kerala along with his friend D. Mohanty went to Sania’s house and had a heated argument with her father Imran Mirza. They demanded Imran cancel Sania’s engagement.
India’s number one woman tennis player’s engagement is scheduled July 10 with Sohrab Mirza, son of a local businessman.

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has got engaged to a Hyderabad-based businessman but her family Sania’s engagementas ruled out an immediate wedding or early retirement for the star.
The 22-year-old, who is the most successful woman tennis player of the country, will continue playing the game and her father Imran Mirza said it will take a while before the two families decide on when the wedding would take place.
“This is to confirm that Sania Mirza is engaged to Mr. Muhammad Sohrab Mirza, whose family hails from the city of Hyderabad. Although not related, the two families have had friendly ties for several decades. However, the wedding is not expected to take place for a while,” Imran Mirza said.
“I would like to state that the news appearing in certain sections of the media about the two maternal grandmothers having fixed the liaison is baseless. It has also been wrongly projected that Sania is contemplating early retirement from tennis. These reports are absolutely untrue,” he said.
